What an undiscovered gem right down the road!!! Delicious is an understatement as the food is all homemade and fresh. The staff treat you like part of the family. The bread is to die for as are the cannolis, but the pasta is the best around! This is a great find and anyone looking for a delicious, fresh, and true Italian meal should try this place.

I heard about this place allot so I was pretty stoked when I had the chance to try it. Where I'm from, Italian food is a staple in your life no matter what your doing heritage is. With that being said, given the hype, I was disappointed. While the hospitality was great, it was incredibly slow. My chicken was average with almost no spaghetti sauce on. The flavor of the homemade noodles were good, but that's about as far as it went. The minimal sauce they put on it, tasted extremely oily and looked watered down. My husband and ordered a sausage panini, and it was a sausage bun. Most of the items are pretty pricey ranging between $15-25. I'm glad mine only cost just under $14, because if I received the same quality for a $25 meal, I would've been pissed. All in all, I don't think I will travel the 30-40 minute drive as its really not that amazing. I was prepared to be wowed based upon word of mouth, and I was definitely not.

Ok not so easy to find in the dark, but I found it. We sat down ourselves. There were only two other tables in use. Place is quaint. Homey feel. We started off with oh so yummy bread. Then we had mozzarella sticks...... There was enough for each of us to have two. Kids each ordered pizzas which I stole a piece it was really good. Mike ordered chicken parm sub which came with French fries. No complaints from him. I ordered chicken parm dinner with fresh homemade fettichini. Yum!!!! YUM!!! YUM!!! Everything was great. Make sure you have a lot of time when you come here. We were here for about 1.5-2 hours. We will definitely be coming back.

Went there this past weekend. Was told by several people how great it was. Unfortunately that was not our experience. We were there 3 hours due to our server being extremely distracted and forgetful. Turns out shes one of the owners. She completely forgot one order. The food was ok but I wouldn't call it authentic Italian. Usually I will give another chance but not this place.

After reading other reviews we decided to try this place since we live peretty close by and there arent many choices Iin this area. Sorry to say, because we were hoping for better but it was a big letdown. Food was far from fabulous. Service was ok but we ate early and were among the first guests. Prices for most of the entrees are reasonable but I think you get what you pay for. But beware of the specials on the menu which are way overpriced but with no price on the menu you wont find out till you get your tab unless you ask. And yea, the place aint much to look at inside or out but sadly the food doesn't come close to making up for that. I realize that my comments conflict with other reviews...cant understand why all the fuss about hidden gems etc., its hidden but not a gem.

My wife and I tried this place using a Groupon. So glad we did! Service was impressive with Rebecca. Pleasant smile and good explanations and descriptions. We enjoyed crusty fresh bread- the multigrain was excellent. Then the fresh bruschetta-tasty. Next we enjoyed freshly made lasagna and veal scallopini. All fresh pasta. Sauce was light and very obvious fresh. The marsala was perfect in sauce on veal. To top it all off we enjoyed fresh brewed coffee and in house made neopolitan. Although the ambience was not of an upscale restaurant, the service and food was excellent. Highly recommended and we will be back!

I love to see a family -run business succeed, and that's what I expect will happen with this cafe. Very casual atmosphere lends to the homey feel. We enjoyed excellent service from Sara! The bruschetta was excellent, and the homemade pasta complemented the chicken marsala. We'll be back!

I almost didn't write a review because I want to keep it to myself. Still, having more traffic can only help keep them open for ME! We came because we read about the homemade pasta. Now, not all of it is, but the fettucini and spaghetti (I think) are the two that they make in house. I _love_ fresh pasta! We had an antipasto plate of some of the best meats and cheeses I have ever had in one place, salads that were decent, and two great, well-seasoned italian dishes for dinner that were so large that we both had half to take home. That never happens to me. Then, on the way out, a cake had just come from the oven. Because we said we were too full to order dessert they cut a piece for us to go. Wow! That's love there. I didn't bother with a bunch of details here. You've read in other reviews that the outside of the building is off-putting (and I admit that we didn't visit for a long time because of that) and that it is a family owned establishment. What we ate in particular doesn't matter. This is they type of place to visit and explore on your own. Bon appetit!

I've eaten here several times and enjoyed most of the food. The lasagna was my favorite dish. The food is moderately priced and the service was good. I didn't like the fact that one of the employee's kids was running around the dinning room area during my visit. The sangria I had was great.

My husband and I are new to the Spring Hill area. When I saw a Groupon for an Italian place in Spring Hill we were really excited. It's a bit out of our way, I didn't know that Spring Hill was that big. Anyway, it's a little hole in the wall place. I remember the decor being a bit odd, but I don't go out to eat for the decor. The service was not the best but also not the worst (it was more bad than good though). The food was absolutely outstanding. I got spaghetti with meatballs and wheat noodles and my husband got pizza. We both loved our food. When we got home I made my husband sign up for Groupon so that we could get a second groupon which we'll be using soon. This place would have gotten five stars if the service were a bit better. We did meet the owner's wife (she was waiting on the table next to us) and she was very sweet and attentive to her table. Hopefully we can get her next time!

This place is a gem! Authentic Italian food that tastes amazing. The building is deceiving but the food more than exceeded my expectations. Inside is a nice family atmosphere with interesting decor. My parents have been talking about it ever since they found the Groupon. For the price this place cannot be beat in terms of taste and authenticity! The crab cake was full of flavor and tasted fresh. I tried 3 different pastas from family member's plates and they were all delicious. The eggplant wrapped in cheese was one of the family favorites. The desserts are made from scratch in house like everything else. The chocolate cake was decadent and rich but not too sweet, perfection.

Normally, a great secret dining experience. The last time was not as good. I should have asked this the regular chef (owner) was working that night. But, I have sent friends there and they all loved the food and setting. Don't let the exterior of the building scare you, the inside is very quaint. This restaurant worth visiting and see for yourself.

Don't let the curb appeal fool you! The food is fresh & made by a true Napolitan.

I really don't like leaving 5 stars and I am always suspect when there is only one review but this place is a winner. I had the lasagna and it was great. Not the usual 5 layers of noodles with no meat or cheese. This was meaty, nice sauce, great noodles and nice cheese. The calamari was a little bland but thats ok because I can salt and pepper myself. It was nicely fried and moist. The deserts are made in house? Thats the way I understood it. The best way I could sum this place up is homemade quality ingredients. The deserts could have been balanced a little better but I will go again for sure. The inside is nice red brick and is totally opposite from the looks of the outside. My order was takeout and i was very happy with the food. I was a little skeptical because I tend to like the chains. Really hope this place makes it because they are very close to home and make for easy pickup. Staff were all very friendly.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
